Each of the member schools within this organization has
adopted these standards as part of their application
process. The purpose of these uniform standards is to
assist students in determining whether accomodations or
modifications are necessary for them to successfully
complete program requirements in the allied dental
health discipline they are pursuing. It is our mission
as faculty in these statewide programs to develop higher
quality thinking in our students and to insure patients
that the provision of services will be performed safely
and will be documented accurately.
As educators, we believe all individuals applying to an
allied dental health program deserve the chance to prove
their capabilities in meeting essential job
requirements. These documents are provided for any
individual to review the physical, mental and emotional
requirements necessary to successfully complete the
educational training for the allied dental program of
their choice and then practice in the work place. Any
questions or concerns regarding potential difficulties
in meeting these standards can be communicated to the
program administrator or a faculty member from any of
the allied dental programs, within the State of Florida,
for clarification.
